[Insight on Dominic's world = +3. There's some continuity with some of his older dreams, and while it doesn't tell him that much more, it still confirms a few things.

TECHNICALITIES SET ASIDE. Aw Anemone. c: ...Despite the tragic ending, one'd suppose. THAT also put aside, however...]

Will you be fine with that wound, Dominic? [It might come off as a bit cold, but he does know that Dominic can take care of himself, especially considering what he knows of his background. ...Sure, he can offer healing, but then he'd have to ask Dominic to not turn around and ask questions even when he hears a gunshot go off behind him - shooting yourself after saying you'd heal your friend would probably look REALLY weird. :|;]

[...It's moreso on a general basis, Dominic. People need to know you in order to even attempt to say that, and unless they are trolls, who purposefully and intently say things to get you to react, to normal people, you would seem very quiet and reserved.

But he's not going to explain that.]

[Hey, he practically grew up in the military. It's not exactly the greatest place for manners.]

Mostly insults. Apparently, he's decided that I'm not even worth enough to have a name anymore.

[Not that he even comes close to feeling the same way, but it's annoying, all the same.]

It's fine. He's learned to take your words with a grain of salt in some situations, but he won't push it if there's no pressing needs.

...He takes that in, but doesn't sound fully convinced.] That's quite petty; I don't think that you should concern yourself, if that's all that he did.

[But he insulted Anemone too! That's just one thing you do not do in front of Dominic.]

I know that, but it's still infuriating, and Break is the last person I needed to deal with after that--

[He stops himself there, because at this rate his anger is just going to blind him and he'll say something he'll regret later.

A long pause, before he sighs for the second time in this conversation.]

... I guess I'm just a petty person, then.

We can say that about anyone. If you're frustrated, though, it may be best to let it out when you can, rather than have it stockpile.

[...Short pause.]

[And then he continues with a quiet but serious look.] I won't ask any more, Dominic. You have told me that if you ever needed help, you would let me know: you do behave suspiciously sometimes, but I believe you. So if there is anything that you would like to talk about, I'll listen anytime.

[Dominic's quiet for a while, a mixture of surprised and touched, because while something like that is characteristic of Minato, Dominic still hasn't grown to expect it.

A hand goes to his shoulder, where he can feel the burns at the edges of his back. Still, he smiles.]

... Thank you.

[Then the smile fades, and he looks at Minato straight in the eye.]

Minato... If anything ever happens to me--if I can't be there for her--please look after Anemone for me.

[He's not exactly anticipating anything to happen to him in the near future, but...]

[Anytime, bro.

He wanted to say something. Like, he hasn't done anything yet so that's not worth much thanks. But this IS Dominic here, and even if he tends to push himself too hard, his recognition still means quite a lot. So Minato'll accept it graciously on his side too, with a smile.]

I will, but I'd like to help you avoid having anything happen to you first, if you would allow it. [He's perfectly serious.] I don't have military experience per se, but I've been through situations where I can hold my own in a fight. [JUST TO LET YOU KNOW YOUR BACKUPS. It may look like he'll be shooting himself in the head, but really! He can do tons of stuff. :3;]

[If Minato were to ask, Dominic would say that he's done plenty--no one's ever tried to go this far out of his/her way to help him, except for Estelle.]

I'll keep that in mind, though I think there are some things that neither of us can stop...

[Still, there's a look of gratitude on his face, because seriously, best friend ever.]
