[It takes a while for Dominic to reply, as he ignores the Dreamberry until he's done treating his injuries as well as he can.]

... Burned. I've taken care of it, though.

Excellent. [She wouldn't want to be bothered today anyway.]

For all we've talked, I still don't know exactly what you did before arriving here. Besides die, of course.

[He just smiles mirthlessly at the last part. He's gotten comfortable with talking about his death, luckily.]

I remember mentioning the military to you once before... or am I just imagining that?

[This seems to be happening to a lot of people. And the emotions of the dream...they resonate.

He looks worried.]

[It's weird to have people he barely knows--though very distantly, he thinks he's met this person before--worry about him. It's not like it hasn't happened before here, but Dominic has never completely gotten used to it.

Again, it takes him a while to pick up, as he takes care of his wounds first.]

Y-Yeah... I'm fine.

[A pause, and then he decides to take the boy at his word.]

Alright. That's good.

[He pauses.]

...I hope that you were able to save her.

[A pause, as he's silent with surprise, before he looks away.

Quietly, he speaks.]

... So do I.

Perhaps you should ask a little black cat to lick your wounds. I have heard that their saliva has healing effects.

[And as usual, Dominic is none too pleased to see Vincent--especially after what happened.

A beat, and then with a voice filled with anger, forgetting that he doesn't want to awaken Anemone:]

What the hell do you want!?

Displeased to see me, Sir Dominic? And after all that quality time we spent together as well.

[Had this been before, Dominic might've had some hesitation about being so blatantly rude. Now, though...]

Ungrateful? You know very well that there's nothing to be 'grateful' for, you damn bastard!

[Insight on Dominic's world = +3. There's some continuity with some of his older dreams, and while it doesn't tell him that much more, it still confirms a few things.

Will you be fine with that wound, Dominic? [It might come off as a bit cold, but he does know that Dominic can take care of himself, especially considering what he knows of his background. ...Sure, he can offer healing, but then he'd have to ask Dominic to not turn around and ask questions even when he hears a gunshot go off behind him - shooting yourself after saying you'd heal your friend would probably look REALLY weird. :|;]

[Insert same explanation of why it takes Dominic some time to pick up here. ... And yes, that would look really, really weird indeed.

He nods.]

I'll be fine. It's nothing I haven't handled before.

[Okay, so Mischa actually treated his burns before he arrived here, but he had to continue looking after them, so it totally counts.]

He stares back. With a calm and lightly curious expression, and probably longer than he should have, but it's not unnerving or with intent; seems like he's just thinking to himself.

Then he nods and picks the conversation back up.]

If you do say so, then I won't ask more. ...This is worrisome, though. It seems like dream effects are being carried over onto ourselves after we wake up, and people are dreaming about getting hurt more often, too. Do you think that these events may be related?

... It's possible. This place has influenced our dreams before, after all.

[Back when everyone was having nightmares, though Dominic would rather not dwell on that for too long.]

Though if this is just another regular occurrence, then it shouldn't last for much longer.
