Fic, Fujicest, "Ultramarine", for 30_lemons

I don't normally write like this - in fact, this is the first time in years that I have! It might turn out that the reason for that was actually valid, but we'll see... XD

This isn't really all that smutty at all, so it carries a rating of somewhere between PG-13 and R. As with everything I'm writing for 30_lemons, the Shuusuke and Yuuta are different

This was gorgeous. The imagery was just... wow. It was just so Squee and deep and beautifully written! The imagery really just gets to you through the whole piece. ^_____^ If you write more to this "arc", I wouldn't mind. ^^ Its nice to see the different facets of their feelings for each other.

I'm glad you enjoyed it! Your comment really took the edge off my nervousness at having posting it! :) I had a lot of fun with the imagery! Originally, I was visualising Shuusuke falling into a deep well, with an atmosphere very like that of the Labyrinth Zone in Sonic 1, if you've ever played that (XD), but then guiltyschu read what I'd done and saw it as the ocean, and I liked that so much that I worked with that instead. Most of what I do tends to be an accident. XD But I had so much fun, because I could really see everything that was happening, and it was awesome. *^^*

I'd like to do something else with this, but I'm not sure whether it would fit any of the themes I have left to do, so maybe it would have to be just a regular fic... hmm, I'll have to think! :D Oh, I get stupidly excited just planning things out...! *dork*

You know, I can visualize the Labyrinth Zone in Sonic. XD But this was just gorgeous with the ocean.

Its okay to get stupidly excited about planning stories. ^^ I do that almost 24 hours a day. Plus, my friends and I are dorks that go to the beach, to sit under an umbrella and write fanfic. We didn't like the sun. And we didn't go out into the water. ^____^ So needless to say, I'm very fond of my fellow dorks. :D

Oh really? Awesome! XD I was seeing the water all green and murky, but I love the ocean so much more. I have a gorgeous image of it in my head, of a semi-tropical ocean with a worn-down rock arch made of chalk out to sea, but that sort of thing doesn't exist, I don't think. XD

I'm now picturing Fuji as Sonic and Yuuta as Tails, though, which is both amusing and disturbing. XD

Writing at the beach would be awesome! You're lucky you have a nice one close to you! ♥ I keep wanting to go down to the botanical gardens here and write, but I find I can't write without my computer... :(

:D I'm glad you enjoyed it! ^__^ I'm thinking up ways I can continue this, because I'd really like to! It's really interesting, watching how they deal with being scared. I only go into fics with the vaguest of ideas of what will happen, so they always end up surprising me, and it's exciting! So I'd love to see what happens next. ^_^

Intense and poetic was what I was aiming for, so I'm glad it came across! ♥ I had to think very carefully about how I wanted to do the theme of them being scared, because I didn't want to try to make it sexy or funny or even chilling, which is what probably would've happened if I had written it in a less lyrical style, although it would've been easier...

You know, these fics are conditioning me to squeal the moment I see them. *giggle*

Very powerful imagery, you used it so vividly that you could really feel the emotions involved. This was a very unique, engaging piece; I don't think I've ever read anything quite like it. It had a beautiful, poetic feel.

I'm glad the imagery seemed to work! ♥ It was a lot of fun, writing down how they were feeling. It was important to me that the theme of terror be tasteful, which is how it ended up being present tense and metaphorical. XD

The only fics I think I've read that have been like this one are what my friend yukipen tends to write at her writing journal blackjacks - her fics are sumptious and metaphorical, and just so good. She wrote me a Fujicest ficlet, even: Neptune :D

Thank you! ^__^ I'd been scared for ages to do something like this, because I used to be terrible at it, but it seems that in the four years since I stopped, I've grown up a little bit. ^_~

It's so good - I had to go back and read it again once I linked you, and it made me squeak with goodness throughout! ♥ She's done a lot of other good stuff too - she even made me like Sanada for an afternoon! XD
