[The video flickers on to Jill's attentive face as she examines the tablet, held at chest level while her gloved fingers trace over the screen. Her features are lined with obvious exhaustion and there's a ring of dried blood just below her exposed collarbone, but she pays no attention to it, her eyes alert -- and a little puzzled

[ Smiles. ] I think that the Underworld only has one frequency.

I'm starting to think so. They've done a decent job in setting it up, at any rate.

Mm. It's a bit strange,
but I am not complaining, at any rate.

...You're not going to tell me you actually like the place, are you?

Nn, I do not think that like is the most appropriate word.

[Patience: she has it.] Care to humor me and tell me what is?

[A pause.]

...To each his own, right?

Mm, of course.
But, given the circumstances, I am not the only one calling this place Home.

So you're not part of the population that says they're dead, then.

No. I am very much alive.

[zerosuitjill]

Alive and calling the underworld home...

Sounds complicated.

Not for a Demon.

[zerosuitjill]

A demon. [Maybe a little disbelief in the way she pauses there, but there's no sarcasm, irritation, or ridicule all the same.]

As in the things people have been warning me about ever since I woke up?

[moonlghtshadow]

Mm, a demon. [ Smiles politely. ]

I had no idea that everyone was speaking so ill of my kind. It's to be expected, though. [ Chuckles. ] But me, I am collared, so you have nothing to worry about.

Good to know.

[Almost musingly -- almost.] ...There was a word for demon back -- where I come from. It's a rough translation, but it applied to certain people; you don't look like you'd fit in that category.
