--llo! [Not a single thing can be seen, nothing but darkness, and Ruka's voice is badly muffled.]  Anyone?  [The tablet is jostled roughly, bouncing along with the heavy clack of Ruka's heels.  Something is wrong.  There's an edge of panic in her voice as a door is opened too roughly, slamming against the wall.]

Misaki!? [Her shout is followed by

[For once Misaki is panicking and not bothering to hide it.]

Ruka, where are you?

[It took Ruka several minutes to answer Misaki, her tablet buried away in her knapsack was almost forgotten in her moment of panic, but when she finally does her expression is stiff with fear, and worry.]

I--I'm at Strife Delivery. [Her voice wavers slightly] I thought you would be here. I thought... [She stops, jaw clenching for just a moment, before continuing] I thought someone, anyone, would be here, but there is no one, Misaki. I can't find anyone!

[Misaki is so confused and she is sitting in her chair... at Strife Delivery.]

Ruka.

[Not again. It takes a moment for her to fight the panic and a blank expression returns. Panicking won't do anything for Ruka.]

This place is up to its tricks again then. Are you sure there is nobody?

The market is empty. No one answers when I call. [No converging melodies. This was an emptiness Ruka never imagined she would suffer through again.] I'm not positive, but I think I really am alone here.

[Ruka is quiet for a good moment, worrying her bottom lip before:] ...Then I think I am.

I--Mm, Yes. [There was still an edge of panic to her voice, but it had gradually begun to subside the moment she found she could still talk to the others--Misaki, in particular.] I was caught off guard, that's all.

You'er fine now though? [Not sure if she believes you at all.]

I'm just alone. [It's all a bit terrifying, far too reminiscent of home] I'm going to try to find a way back; being here can't be good.

I'm... I'm here. [Still frightened, and worried, but the panic seems to be ebbing, her voice no longer tight and pitched like the post.]
