I'm taking any and all suggestions for any good coffee around here. It can be one of those ridiculously overpriced places, that's fine -- I usually go for instant, so as long as it's a good several steps above the usual grocery store quality, I'll take it.

Nice to meet you Jill. I'm doing as well as one can expect I think. I wasn't exactly prepared to end up in the Underworld.

But I'm trying to make the best of it. At the very least I'll have a good story to tell when I get back...

Hey, that's one way of turning this around. If you can't get footage, you could at least write a book, even.

Journalist, actually - and I prefer using a camera but...well, there's not much I can do if I end up not being able to bring any footage home I guess.

After you've been here a while, getting home will feel like plenty of a reward itself, don't worry. Anything you can get out of it after is just a bonus.

[Funny how that's one of the last things Jill's thought to miss. Or, rather, she's already used to missing it.] You get used to it. If there's one thing they deserve credit for, though, it's giving us a chance for something like a normal life in between what they throw at us. It's... something, at least.
