XI. [Accidental Video]

[The video feed switches on to show - darkness. Then fuzzy darkness as an oversized cat paw lifts, then bats down again.

In the background, Marian's voice can be heard, muffled at first but coming closer.]

...seen that scroll, love? I swear the cats have started hoarding.

[There's a pause, then a chuff of laughter. The paw retreats again,

Kitten season. [Marian smiles slightly, lifting one shoulder in a helpless sort of shrug.] They're not all staying once they're weaned. Even if that might require some convincing.

Convincing? Simply tell Anders he cannot have them.

video. /cue the sitcom audience

[spiritessence]

I think I found it. [He holds a few torn pieces up.] Hey, who are you talking to over there? [Well, helllooo handsome. Well, grumpy handsome.]

Venhedhis. And this is the part where the abomination claims he doesn't know me, yes?

[Ah, nothing like meeting people who use politically correct terms. B|] Who are you calling abomination? [He feels his clean-shaven face.] I shaved, didn't I?

You look fine. [Marian straightens and stretches up to give Anders an amused peck on the cheek.] Have you been out getting into trouble again?

Me? Trouble? Of course not~ [Tosses the papers away. They're practically illegible anyway.] What about you? [Gestures to the ink on her.]

[Marian scrubs at one of the ink smudges with her thumb, which doesn't really shift it at all.] Apparently, I had to be rescued from a tiny demon disguised as a quill. It was a short but messy battle.

You mean to tell me you aren't possessed?

[spiritessence]

That's a rude way of asking if I'm married. I mean, a ball and chain is one thing...
