[ Elena nods as she moves into the living room and motions for Caroline to take a seat. Caroline inevitably has a ton of questions that she wants answered and Elena has answers to give. Well, some answers. ]

Katherine was in the tomb. She'd told me about her past and about Klaus. [ She took a seat and set her hands in her lap. ] She said Klaus killed her entire family. [ And Elena had ended up arguing with Stefan on how to handle the situation. She had been more than ready to sacrifice herself to save those she cared about. ]
