The sudden cold down his back caused Altaïr to jump and hiss before he spun around. He only caught a glimpse of his assailant before the figure was out the door and he was giving chase. It was almost immediately obvious who had assaulted him and a grin crossed his features as he followed her out the door.

Their previous conversation wasn't far from his mind and he knew what she was trying to prove; he was more than willing to play along. It wasn't often that Maria allowed her playful nature out and he was more than happy to indulge it.

She was out the door several seconds before him and he moved through the doorway, fully expecting to be ambushed as soon as he exited.

True, it was unlike her usual self to do such a prank on the Assassin, but the man was finding every day new ways to bring down the careful walls around herself. Their banter had only been a start for today's playful part and Maria felt lighter to play along.

Altaïr was right to prepare himself to be ambushed, because Maria had somehow found a way to the rooftops by the time he was chasing her. As soon as the Syrian was out the door, she made the snow gathered on the roof slide and fall down on the figure below. Yes, her intention was have him completely wet by the time she was done with him.

With a sound that sounded like a small laughter, she let herself slide down the roof on the other side of the house, landing in a pile of snow there. It slowed her escape, but still she scrambled to run away from Altaïr, her grin barely concealed at this point.

"You're not getting away with that!" He shook off the majority of the snow she'd dumped on him, but could feel some melting through his layers. He knew the sensation would only get worse and so bolted around the corner of the house, intent on chasing his prey.

The sound of her laughter reached him before he caught sight of her again and he sped up slightly. Altaïr had no plans to catch her so soon, but the threat was bound to result in her taking more drastic measures; which could only be more fun for them both.

A hastily made snowball was lobbed in her direction once he was close enough and he watched with satisfaction as it hit her between the shoulder blades.

She couldn't help the small yelp that escaped her as the snowball hit her on the back. It hadn't been thrown with much strength, but still she could feel the snow bite through her cloak. She turned around just long enough to send one back at him, though her aim was more lacking then his.

Finally able to pull herself out of their snowed in backyard, Maria made her way to the streets, not having planned her escape route already. A look to the left, and one to the right, she chose to go East, where the streets were getting curvier and where she could find a place to hide and ambush the Assassin again.
