John seemed to be rid of his, or they just hadn't decided to follow him outside. No, Beeman and Hennessy and he had played cards most of the night, Chas whining the majority of it about not being able to play because John hadn't ever taught him how to. Eventually they turned it into a form of strip poker, and Chas had declared them all assholes when he was stripped down to nothing more than his boxers and socks ( ... )

Mitsuru did not waste any time starting in on those questions. "Do you feel alright? The spell should have been able to heal everything completely, but you never can tell in this place." There had been times when they had found their abilities to be ineffective, it was never wise assume anything here. For the most part, she ignored John's presence, focusing solely on her friend, the most important thing was making certain that she was alright.

It took a minute for Misaki's mind to clear up enough to gather a grasp of her current situation. The first thing she did was look at John, blinking in confusion as she realised for the first time that he was holding her. She turned her head back to Mitsuru to answer the question.

"I will survive. Thank you. John, if you could set me down now it would be appreciated."

She gathered Miya all together gingerly, ignoring the heart pain that the destroyed doll left. She would not fall apart again. Not in front of these two. She made sure to school her emotions into a neutral state, closing off any signs that they could use to see that she was not alright. Not emotionally.

His brow furrowed at her admission, and he carefully moved her in his arms as he leaned down. He made sure her small feet hit the ground properly, that they settled well and functionally. He wouldn't put her down if she was just going to cave at blood loss or dizziness. Once he saw that she could stand, however, he gently let her down and carefully brushed his front off. The blood was deep in his pants, his shirt, even accumulating in the stitches of his belt. He frowned momentarily.

She better not have any communicable diseases, because the blood went through pretty damn far.

"Probably should let you two catch up," he murmured, clearly out of his element at the moment.

One thing that Mitsuru had gotten used to here in the Underworld was the sight of blood, at this point it barely phased her, which probably was not a good sign, but at least it made it easier to deal with things. Something told her that Misaki wasn't alright, but she certainly wasn't going to push. Instead, she turned to John and gave him a small, polite, smile.

"I'm glad you were able to find Misaki in time. I apologize for my rudeness."

Normally Misaki would have been rolling her eyes at John's overreaction. Insanity was not communicable so he was safe. Instead she was barely registering what was going on, her eyes staring unfocused into the distance as she registered all of the damage. The blood would quickly fill her body again, renewing once she had eaten. Her clothes she could mend, though it would be tedious. Miya was broken and... she was alone again. Alone in a place where everybody kept their distance.

"Thank you both very much. If you will excuse me."

She was not sure where she was going. Home was not safe, she knew that. Jill was able to take care of herself so she had no reason to even return there. Every place was dangerous. She let her feet just lead her away from the other two, her expression closed as she moved, almost in a trance.

It wasn't insanity John cared about, considering he was pretty much already there in, well, in every God damn aspect. No, he didn't know shit about her, it was more anything else possible he was worried about. And that worry was just to alleviate anything he felt that was in relation to worrying about her.

He side-eyed her as she seemed to wander off, buttoning his jacket at the bottom and looking across the way at the young woman with the blazing red hair. "If you wanna, uh...I'm just gonna excuse myself now."
