Dean didn't think it was time to work on grocery supplies but he did think it was about time to check on Cas. When he went to see if the angel was awake and when he found his resting place empty Dean's eyes narrowed. He knew right where the angel was and headed there immediately. The hunter knew that kitchen was probably bugging Cas and when he saw the angel wiping the counter he shook his head ( ... )

Castiel blinked a bit when Dean came into the room and started talking. A little confused, he took the beer offered to him and took a few steps back, until he was leaning against the counter, and then just watched Dean attack the drawer.

"I don't understand..." He trailed off, brows raising at the housewife comment. That, he understood. "Who is Martha?"

He shifted, then took a drink of the beer before he set the bottle on the counter. "How many got in the house?" And how many of their somewhat peculiar group had been hurt? How long had it lasted? When had it started? He had a good many questions about what had happened, but all the clues he had were a messy kitchen, dim memories of Dean fighting on a video feed, and a broken coffeepot.

Speaking of... "And what did you do to my coffeepot?"

On any other day, he might have decided to try, simply to give himself something to do. (And, when his 'human' skills inevitably failed, he would have probably wasted angelic powers on a broken drawer.)

Nodding at the answers, Castiel picked up the beer again and took a long draw. Honestly, alcohol combined with low energy reserves was probably a bad idea, but he couldn't find it in himself to really care about that. He was still somewhat... fuzzy, which was probably to be expected. It was after another long drink that he answered Dean ( ... )
