I haven't posted in-- longer than I should have, but this is for two reasons. The first is because I've been trying to avoid talking about something that I feel like talking about because it's dorky and embarassing and the second is because I've just come back from The Land of The Free and The Home of the Brave.

That's right! This little, ( Read more... )

Claire, honey, you met him for like TWO minutes. Seriously!?
THEIR LOVE IS SO SHMOOPY and HE'S HER HERO. Clearly, the basis for a ship. *eyeroll* I love to see them together, but I hope HOPE that the first thing they mention when we get back to their plot is the Nathan = Dad (therefore) Peter = uncle bit.

I wonder how long Mama Petrelli knew that Nathan's daughter was still alive?

And a YES AMEN to the rest of your comments. There are many hearts for Nathan. In, like, every scene.

See I know they won't go for the whole Claire-likes-Peter-and-Nathan's-All-"Kid That's Your UNCLE" deal but I kind of wish they would. That'd be hilarious!

Apparently there are Peter/Claire fans who are organizing an "official fanon" where they aren't related and they have all these rules and communities to support it.

OOoooohhhhhh!!!! What a thought-- did she keep it from Nathan so that he could have his political career and everything or did she find out recently? And how did she meet the Haitian-- how far do they go back?

GOD THE SUSPENSE IS KILLING ME. APRIL 23??? REALLY?!!?

I just hope that we get to see it, get to see Claire making the connections (or reacting to those connections being made for her), rather than cutting to “and then, two weeks later” like last break. Mama P (apparently her name is “Angela”?) would have had to know about Claire at least before “Fallout”, if the Haitian was acting under her orders not to wipe Claire’s memory. That means she’d know about what the Haitian could do, which means she knows about people with powers, and if she doesn’t know what her own sons can do... well, I’ll eat my hat. And if she knows that her sons have powers it means that nothing we’ve seen her do can be taken at face value. Before, she was the widow and mother who, since her husband’s death, has been more willing to speak her mind; a mother concerned about her sons’ welfare, about keeping up appearances and pretending they’ve always been a happy, functional family so that her son gets good pr so he’ll get elected ( ... )

More than anything, that makes me wonder about the circumstances of their father's death. Did he have powers too? As far as I can remember, his death was connected to Linderman somehow, right? And Linderman knows about Nathan's powers and he's got that interest in Isaac's paintings and just AGH.

I think to get a better understanding of Mama Petrelli we'd have to see her interactions with her husband. Was she the leader in that relationship-- the way Nathan and Peter talk about their father you wouldn't think so but considering all this badass hidden strength Mama seems to have, it wouldn't surprise me if she was pulling strings from behind the scenes.
