Huh. While I was writing up my getting-a-new-job entry, bunches of people were busily taking a career test. So... hey. Why not.

I suppose I could have included the first part of the meme...

1. Go to http://www.careercruising.com/.
2. Put in Username: nycareers, Password: landmark.
3. Take their "Career Matchmaker" questions.

I wasn't really surprised to see Project Manager. I was heading that direction when I was at Piper Jaffray, I took a couple of intro classes, etc. L describes me as The Hub of the Great Wheel when I'm in my element.

Definitely lower on the list now, though.

Yeah, I've seen tests like those. I know what you mean.

Based on the questions though, I think this test probably does include more blue collar jobs, but the way I answered likely precluded any of them from showing up.

...yep. Using the mindset of my dad in his 30s, I get job recommendations like Ironworker, Drywaller, Airport Ground Crew, Fisher, Diesel Mechanic, Water Well Driller, etc. Not bad.
