Did you guys watch the broadcast? If so, you might have noticed that Durandal edited the footage of Berlin a bit. As far as I can remember, there were no ZAKUs anywhere in the vicinity of Berlin when the Destroy was on the rampage ( Read more... )

I saw. And as much as I hate to admit it, Durandal's becoming more and more suspicious.

... But we're going to have to be careful with whatever we do. Rey might not be working with ZAFT right now, but he's in FAITH. Those are the people that take orders directly from the Chairman himself.

Plus, at Armory-1 I heard rumors that Rey was a kind of surrogate son for Durandal... meaning anything he catches wind of has a good chance of reaching the Chairman.

The Infinite Justice is almost finished, right? You could always say you're doing a field test.

Or even better, just fake a falling-out. You two are at your most dangerous when you're together. What better way to lull ZAFT into a false sense of security?

I think the former option would be more plausible. It's no secret that Kira and I are close friends, and it would be even more unusual after everything that happened between us when I was still a ZAFT pilot. I'll mention them both to Kira, though.

Either way, we'll need some cooperation from people staying here. We'll be counting on you to take care of that.

We will, especially with Rey Za Burrel here. He's a member of FAITH, so he reports directly to Durandal.

Shinn suggested two cover stories to consider. Either we say we're taking out the Infinite Justice for some final tests, or we fake a falling-out.

Better cover story, you're reporting back to ZAFT to check up on things and giving me a ride to meet Lacus. You might be able to talk to Durandal personally in that case and so long as we stop somewhere that is a vacation like spot before hand the Lacus story should stick for the sort amount of time we need it to. Plus we both know Lacus would cover for us if need be.
