So, a while ago I posted about entering a Doctor Who ficathon.  It was an anonymous ficathon, so I wasn't supposed to tell people which piece was mine.

Well, the Great Reveal has happened, and now I can brag:  My story is called Elphame Station, and you can read it hereIf you are at all inclined to do so, please go read it, and comment there or ( Read more... )

Oh, I enjoyed the story very much! And I'm pretty picky about Whofic. Sally and Eight really deserve more love, and I loved this a lot. The setting and the Good People also added a great deal to it. I hope you write more!

That was quite enjoyable as well! And I haven't even seen The Dalek Invasion of Earth yet. Now I'll have to go stick it on my Netflix queue.

I would love to see more Who fics or original stuff, either way!

dude! not only did I read that fic, but I remember it! that whole "wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey" "you're quoting me, aren't you? GAH!"

that, and the railway car, and the costume descriptions...

*applause*

Nice!

In a comment you say that the idea kernel that started this story was the thoughts about the photography w/out permission and taking info, which is interesting. Though it didn't actually work, she didn't get pics of them.

The parts that stick with me a couple days later, like I think perhaps I saw it, is the effect of photographing the station and revealing the other station. And also how the flash revealed that. Then riding on the train and he's saying don't do it here, because the underlying reality is not going to work.

So the "timey-wimey" expreseeion might just be a timey-wimey thing itself eh?
