Everyone was going nuts and out of their minds and Sam was about to head out and do a patrol to make sure no one went too crazy. That meant that first things first, he needed a new bandage. Veronica had searched the island, with and without Tosh, but so far she hadn't found Lilly. The clinic had been their first stop earlier and it seemed like a good idea to head back, just in case someone who knew Tosh was there. But with everyone getting shuffled around, even that wasn't a certain bet.

Seeing Sam was a small relief, at least. "Please tell me that's actually you in there," she said wearily, walking over to him.

Sam looked over, his face riddled with concern when he saw how tired she looked. "Yeah, who else would it be?" he teased. "Santa?" He gestured over. "Come on. Corners are crazy-repellant."

Veronica nodded, biting her lip and heading into the corner to stand in front of him. "I don't know," she said. "You could've been, like, Jim for all I know. Santa might've been nice."

Sam just looked down at her, giving her about all one-hundred percent of his empathy. "Hey," he said, quietly. "You okay? You look tired, and please don't think I'm insulting you because you still look great," he swore quickly, holding up his hands in protest.
