Samus Aran screwattack July 8 2009, 18:28:23 UTC
Samus passed through the cafeteria, looking around for the food that Lyle had pointed out to her that was safe to eat and followed her diet. Not that she was entirely sure she trusted him, but hey, she had to eat something, didn't she? As she passed through, the bowl of candy caught her notice.

She looked around cautiously, but couldn't help but take a piece and pop it into her mouth...

((OOC: Here's an example of how this goes.))

Samus will find herself now split into two halves: one is her adult self, the other is her child self. Don't ask which is the real Samus, they will both claim they are. A person with this effect will control both halves. They can interact with each other (muncest is not a problem) or split up an interact independently.

((OOC: I actually didn't roll for Samus this time, I intentionally chose this one because it's the most extreme effect on the list, to show you how "bad" it can get.))

Samus blinked her eyes, unsure of what just happened. She looked down at her hands. She was wearing her Zero Suit, and appeared to be restored to her full height and original age. Well, that was a relief. Until...

"Who are you?" a familiar voice asked. Samus turned to face the source of it...and was shocked to find her younger self still standing there.

"What are you still doing here?" Samus asked, surprised.

"I asked you a question first," the younger Samus pointed out.

Well, this wasn't good...

((OOC: Yes, Samus is staying in the log.))

Hikaru and Kaoru entered the cafeteria, looking for something to eat. Hikaru's eyes trailed immediately to the bowl. "Kao, look! Candy!" He tugged his younger brother's hand, dragging him along. "Woah!" Hikaru reached up, took a piece and ate it, grinning at his twin.

Hikaru's candy has caused him no physical change. However, mentally, he is now restored to his original age.

"Candy!" Kaoru bounced excitedly on the balls of his feet as his brother reached up for a piece and then grabbed for one himself and naturally getting his hands sticky in the process.

"Ne, 'karu, what flavour did you get?" He unwrapped his as Hikaru ate his, and crammed it into his mouth as soon as the question had left his lips.

Kaoru's effect is that he has grown back up physically, but mentally, he is still his regressed age.

Neil should have known better. In fact, he did. This trip to the cafeteria, he was making a B line for the donuts, which he understood to be safe. (Hell. No one here can tell him he can't have donuts for every meal.) But that bowl of candy... It was new. It was tempting. In fact, it was irresistible.

He hardly even realized that he had all but run up to the bowl, and taken a piece. He unwrapped it and popped it in his mouth before he could even blink.

The strangest thing about reverting back to his normal age was surprisingly not the pointed difference in vision. While he was going to have to get used to it all over again, that really didn't bother him. What had bothered him was remembering so vividly what it was like to not know about his family being gone. He shook his head and took a deep breath, suddenly not hungry anymore. He had all but decided to turn and head back to just lay low in his room, but he stopped short.

"Shite..." He looked down at his younger self. It looked like he wasn't going to get to be alone like he had hoped.

Likewise, the 13 year old Neil looked up at his older self. It took him a minute to register, but when it did his jaw dropped open, and he looked a little scared. "N-no way...You're..."

"Can this get any more bloody weird?" He rubbed his forehead. What in the world were they going to do...

((OOC: Yeah. Sure. Neil will stay.))

After a moment of gawking, and muttering surprised curses that he probably shouldn't even have known, the younger Neil looked up at his older self and...couldn't help but smile. He would readily admit that he was a little afraid of losing his eye at some point, but other than that...his older self looked really cool. He was super tall and now scrawny like his fifteen year old brother had been. Even though this was incredibly weird, the young teen couldn't help but think this was neat.

"How old am I...er...you, right now?"

Ladd strutted into the Cafeteria, as if he owned the place. As far he was concered, it was. Pissed off with the apparent lack of gum, he moodily swung his arms by his sides. "Stupid adults...", he muttered under his breath, hanging his head in fustration. He gazed towards the centre of the room, and spotted the bowl of confectionary. Grinning, he snatched one from the top and threw it in his mouth.

As nice as Hakkai had been, Vash knew he needed to find the exit doors. Or the escape pods. He could probably work them okay--he wasn't Knives, but he was smart too! And Rem needed them. And they needed her. Plus, if he wasn't there, Knives was going to get all the attention. And then there'd be no living with his brother.

Focused as he was on the Great Mission... he was still a child. And all children get distracted by a tempting pile of candy. Especially children named Vash.
