The silence as they had made their way down the stairs had been broken only by the sound of Poland's ragged breathing as he closed the distance between him and the man he was hunting. In the normal sense of the word, something being hunted is 'prey'. This was not so. And it was a rarity, what was occurring now. The hunter was being hunted now, as he rounded the corner and found the door he was looking for, complete madness in his eyes still.

He knew the door. How could he not? He'd been avoiding it since he arrived, slinking through like a dog with it's tail between his legs, hoping that nothing...sinister would come out. But now he relished it. Remembering what he'd said to Liet, so so long ago, when he'd revealed his scars, he curled a lip up. 'Are we afraid of the big bad wolf?'But the big bad wolf always had a painful end, didn't it? A woodcutter, with an axe, a chimney and boiling water...the story had to continue. With no hesitation, Poland lashed out at the door, kicking it with one solid boot and watching it rattle from the ( ... )

Russia hadn't been expecting anyone, and certainly not anyone who would announce themselves in such a fashion. Of course, Russia being Russia, he didn't see any reason *not* to open the door.

He blinked at seeing Poland, of all people, standing there. And looking angry, but that was sort of a common interaction between the two of them. Lithuania was there too, which just puzzled Russia. What the hell could both of them want with him?

He left the door open and leaned against the door frame, taking a gulp from his ever-present bottle. He stared at Poland stonily for a moment. "Did you want something, comrade?" His tone was anything but friendly, but that was just par for the course.

"Comrade? A joke... you never did learn to be amusing...too busy being a fucking bastard weren't you?"

In a quick movement, the bottle was swiped, and thrown down the hallway. He hadn't even blinked in that time, or looked away. Taking the vodka had been a dangerous thing to do, but all of this was. In fact, even being Poland normally was quite dangerous, with Russia around. It was no change.

Moving in front of Lithuania, legs shoulder width apart in a completely protective stance, one shaking hand raised up to beckon Russia forward. Shaking through not fear, but badly supressed rage.

" Yes, I do want something...you should know why I'm here. Get the hell out here now."

Though the others seemed impervious to fear, Lithuania was not. To do that ... to throw away Russia's vodka ... that was suicide! But he didn't dare tell them to stop, because that would do no good.

For a moment, all Russia could do was blink slowly at Poland. No one who was not his boss had EVER done that. Even his bosses thought twice about it. If they'd been at home, Russia would have immediately pulled the other nation apart for his temerity.

But Ennis had made him promise not to start anything. So he wouldn't. Not until it was self defense.

"No, I was too busy trying to survive," he snapped, finally, then went to retrieve his vodka. "And actually, I have not the slightest idea what you want." He eyed Lithuania, standing be hind Poland, and his expression turned even darker. "You got what you wanted. Why are you still bothering me?"
