He'd been expecting a visitor, and on hearing him, he swung the door open. He still couldn't remember all the faces from that day clearly, but he remembered a velvet suit...
He smiled slightly, flushing like he always did around people he didn't know well, a cravat he had found in one hand, as a gift.
"Like, hi. Come on in."

Keith gave him his standared close-mouthed smile. "Hello. It is good to see you are feeling better." He came in when Poland asked him to. He didn't know if the nation remembered him; the circumstances of their first meeting had been less than ideal. He glanced down at the cravat and wondered briefly if he'd caught the other man in the process of dressing.

Poland kept his head down, obligatory shyness still surrounding him. He wanted so badly for people to like him, but he was scared.
Face scarlet, he held out his hand clutching the cravat, left over from a strange phase his country had gone through, after England had had that Victoria lady as a boss.
"Here have this...like, thank you."

Keith was surprised, both by the boy's apparent shyness, and the gift. He took the cravat. "Thank you. It's beautiful." It was, too; fairly close to his own taste. "I shall be sure to wear it." He debated putting it on now, but decided against it; mostly because he did not want to trouble Poland to help him. He carefully folded it and tucked it safely inside one of his coat pockets.

He smiled gently. "I appreciate the gift, but it was not necessary. I like helping people." Then, in a more comforting tone, he said, "You needn't be afraid. I won't be mean to you."

Surprising himself, Poland smiled. It was nice, to think that he had been able to find something, to thank him, returning favours was a given where he came from. You couldn't not, it was just...not done.
It wasn't much, but it had been all he had in his possession that he had considered the older man liking.
"Oh, no, I like, didn't think you would, like, hurt me, I just uh..."
What could he say to that? He didn't know where his shyness had come from, except for a childhood in which he had spent time with very few people....
Big pathetic green eyes looked up, willing comprehension.

Keith shook his head gently. "You just don't know how to be around new people? I've a young friend who is rather shy, at home. I think it is because she has had so few people to talk to."

He shrugged. "It is no matter. We are friends now."

He blinked. Keith... yes, I remember the name understood?
So few people did...
Friends...? Yes, he could do that, he trusted this man now, if he had wanted to break him then he could have done it upon their last meeting.
The pathetic look disappeared from his eyes.
"Thank you..."
He offered a real smile this time, small still, but there was a little sunshine peeking through the clouds, trust over customary shyness.

That was better. Keith nodded encouragingly. It was so much better when people had life in their eyes. "You are quite welcome." He smiled. "If you like, you said something about showing you around. Or we can simply talk. Whichever you like." He seemed like he needed the company, and Kieth was happy to oblige.

It would be fine. Of course it would. This person had an extraordinary presence, it didn't seem like he was a human, an ordinary one. At least a boss, or...

He didn't ask though, although he could be brash, he wasn't brash enough to ask 'Like hey, what are you?' out of the blue.
And he didn't know where anything was, outside from his floor and the gym, the one time he had ventured further than that he'd been...somewhat concerned, and hadn't taken it in.

"Can we like, do both?"

His voice became louder at the end, he was getting through his little block against people, or at least this one.

"Of course. Shall we talk as we go around?" He rather liked Poland, he thought. His manner of speaking was a bit hard to understand, but that was a small thing. But he was friendly and pleasant.

"Is there any particular place you would like to go first?" He was glad that Poland was more comfortable with him. "Ah, while it has occurred to me. Would you prefer to call me Poland or Feliks?"
