Orihime had found her way to the garden in attempts to spend some hopeful alone time with herself and her thoughts. She hadn't really had much time to really think on everything since she left for Rukia's room.

Entering in the Garden, some place that always had somewhat haunting memories for her, Orihime stared up at the fake sky before wandering off to trot and chase after some of the butterflies that were fluttering about. The last she was here, she had the company with Walter who was a rather sweet person.

But that thought.... They had grown apart...and that made her stomach heavy but part of her knew it was one of those 'too good to last' sort of one sided romances. Jan wouldn't think of her as anything as an idiot, a CB and a well of blood. "Oh well, it's better this way, isn't it?" She said to the butterfly that landed in her hand, oblivious to the bundle of red in the corner.

He sat up a little straighter. Of all people... he really hadn't expected to see her again. Well, that was kind of a lie. He did see her leaving her rooms time and time again. And then she'd left--gone upstairs. It was safer, he knew that. But still, he couldn't help but miss the sight of her.

But... she didn't want to see him. Did she? And of all things... holding a butterfly.

"I talk to them too," he said, quietly, just loud enough to be heard. "Butterflies're real good listeners... Spiders too, but... I can't find any here."

Her eyes widened. Was that really the voice...?

A soft breath hitched in her throat before she smiled brightly, pulling the butterfly closer to her. "You spoke! I didn't know you could speak! S-So the other butterflies listen? I haven't seen a spider here either, but that's kind of okay, spiders scare me, but you should be careful Mr. Butterfly. You'll get caught and your beautiful wings will get destroyed." She ranted to the poor insect in her hands.

Wait, was she really...?

"Uh... No, over here," he called out, slowly standing. If she started to leave, he'd go first. Just because she didn't want to see him didn't mean he couldn't still try and protect her. Or anyone else. "It's... me. Hi there...!"
