“Go home and stop being such a manipulative ass!” And that last line was hilarious - just right for a thoroughly modern Buffy and a Spike who was showing a little too much self-pity.
I felt for Cecily in this case, though I'm sure she will reverse my feeling when she displays her true colors.
I'm glad you mentioned this, because I'm trying something a little different with Cecily. Usually, she's portrayed as, for lack of a better term, a straight-up bitch in fanfiction. I wrote her that way myself in FtTP. In this story, I wanted to flesh her out and make her more of a three dimensional character instead of a villain.
