ok honestly? I am fascinated. I like that he is in period and its ordinary not to care about the servants' needs or the fact that he is a total drone. I remember De Quincy from college English classes and its fun that William is doing his research. The writing has a dreamy quality that fits with what is happening yet Buffy is so modern and normal and then the writing sharpens to match.

"Fascinated" is such a lovely word. To think someone feels that way about something I've written is all kinds of wonderful. Thank you! :)

Eeee! 2nd section so sensual. Dare William possibly feel a stirring in his southern region?

I'm imaging Buffy looking a bit Greek tonight.

What's next, what's next?!!

Hee. I'm sure William is feeling something of that sort, yes. :P

As for what's next...I haven't the faintest idea! That can't be good, right? ;)

And because she said it so gently-because she was beautiful and unreal and nothing terrible could possibly come of it-he did.

Oh,oh, William - you're going to get hot and bothered very soon.

So beautiful and sensual and dreamlike that I am dizzy. I feel as though I were indulging in laudanum right along with William.

And I am oh so looking forward to the next chapter!

Thank you! I've been trying very hard to give this story (and this William) a different tone than FtTP. It's lovely to know you think I'm doing a good job.

...he found himself chuckling in amusement at his own distorted perception, at the clumsiness that made him grab at the furniture to keep from falling.
Oh, William, you are so dear.

For only the second time in his life, he felt utterly tranquil.
I think that will change the more 'the girl with the flaxen hair' shakes up his measured and despairing existence.

Love this story.

I have to admit that although he isn't perfect, I'm kind of in love with this William. He's just so much fun to write. It's wonderful to know he's also fun to read. Thank you!
