Tonight, my mother in law passed away. I'm not really sure how to react, what to do, or how to comfort matt. It's been 2 hours since he texted me that she passed. It was coming for a long time. Inoperable lung cancer for 2 years, chemotherapy, radiation, and then the dreaded "there's nothing we can do". It happened fast though. We were with her in

I wouldn't know what to do if one of my in laws passed either. Especially his mom, who is in the worst health despite her fairly young age (she's about my mom's age), it would just wreck John if anything happened to her, and I would be dumbfounded on how to support him properly. Maybe for now it is good that he's surrounded with family, as the inlaw I'd feel out of place with the really close family, when he comes home, gosh, that's gonna be rough:(
