I'm participating in one of the "Good Morning Girls" bible study groups on Facebook. It's with friends from Kinston and I thought it was a good way to stay connected. Is it horrible that my gut, knee-jerk reaction to your last sentence is, "Be careful what you ask for."? You know me well enough to know that I'm NOT tooting my own horn - just explaining that for any onlookers. But, in some ways, I kind of feel like I'm getting to that point...but it took the rug getting ripped out from under us in SD, then the rug being set on fire/rolled up in it/ripped out from under us/beaten with the rug/then tried to be smothered with it in OR to kind of start getting there here. There have been other types of trust trials here - and there are continuous new ones still - just nothing like that Job-like time on the west coast. Even then, totally not 100% there... maybe 10%. I can see where I'm supposed to be and how I'm supposed to respond, and I know that "take they our life; goods, fame, child, and wife; let these all be gone; they yet have nothing won; the kingdom ours remaineth."

I just don't want "them" to do it. I'd rather conceptualize.

Oh, I know. We've certainly gone through what seems like more than our share of crappy situations that required blind faith. I'd like to think we stayed above the water line most of the time. I feel like I'm at the point in my life where I understand more of how God moves, and that it'll rarely make sense to me, so must go with the flow. :)
