The really cool thing about living in a 1935 house is that you can come up with neat ideas that involve re-purposing antiques and everything LOOK like it actually belongs there. I have to admit...I'm sinfully jealous of the fireplace facade. As in, if I were Catholic, I'd be doing a bunch of Hail Mary's tonight. As it is, I'll be talking to Jesus about my little problem. :) And then scouring the local antique mall. :P

Haha! I wish the room was as big as the wide angle lens makes it look. That adds to the cool factor. But, alas, it's smaller but STILL rockin'. :D

And, yes! I used the pillow as inspiration!

I love the idea of repurposing an old mantel into a chalkboard--I especially love that it's child-sized!
