You can usually find gluten free cereals. Puffins has a flavor that's gluten free. I've also found gluten free puffed rice and gluten free corn flakes at the health food store.
Rice sticks (rice noodles) cooked in broth make damn tasty soup that's a lot like ramen.
The brand "The Cravings Place" makes darn good coffee cake and brownie mixes that are gluten free. I can get them at my local Kroger grocery store, or of course Whole Foods / Health food stores.
Reading lables is sucky part. I used this list here to help me out. Some things that sound bad aren't and some things that sound okay are bad. Buckwheat, for example, is fine, but oats may not be.
Eating gluten free does sound like a lot of work, but I can cook us all a gluten-free meal once a week (at least until classes start again). I might be asking you for recipe advice. :)
