I popped over to LJ for the first time in over a year to look up an old post of mine, which led me to rereading all the comments, which got me to looking at who's still active in here and who has abandoned ship, and that brought me here to your post... and I just want to say I'm so sorry for your loss. From what I recall it was a complicated relationship, but still, he was your dad and now he's gone. My dad was 94, too, when he passed 2 years ago.
I miss the camaraderie of LJ in its heyday. I loved writing here and was actually surprised at how much I enjoyed rereading some of my entries and it made me realize how much I miss writing like I did. I can't believe I set up my account 10 years ago in here.
I know we're facebook friends, and I do love the immediacy and 24/7ness of fb posts, but it's not at all the same.
Anyhow... my apologies for the tardiness of my condolences, but please know that they're heartfelt, just the same.
