Faucet Shopping, Oh My!

May 14, 2008 15:05

So as is usually the case when I plan a trip to visit wav, I now have plumbing problems. This time at least *before* the trip, thank goodness. Long story short, I'm having to replace much of my sink stuff & become nearly $500 poorer, but the shiny thing--rather than just take the same ugly and cheap faucet--I can now choose whatever I like. So ( Read more... )

Yes, that one is very sleek and aerodynamic... and that is the password what with being jazzed about going to the Andrew's AFB open house this weekend. I think that is my emotional front runner too.

Btw, are you going to the air show? It should be fun!

It is this weekend, info here. Maybe your guests would like to go there? Might make for a nice local experience!

#2, but that's only because I find it tiresome to try to adjust water temperatures with a separate hot and cold.

And why yes, I'm very, very lazy.

We'll call it time efficient rather than lazy and split the difference. :P

Right now I have a one lever faucet too, I wonder if I'll miss that if I switch to two handles. Sounds like my 'time efficiency' might suffer.

Second, as it's the only one you'll ever be able to get the same temperature with twice ^^

Hee! That one seems to be winning for efficiency's sake. Plus I have a one lever system in both kitchen and bathroom right now, I might get too confused with two options for Hot & Cold.

I voted before I read any responses and then after reading what others like think that I must be so old fashioned. But I like the American Standard Williamsburg. Also, I like the two separate handles for hot and cold. I actually find them more efficient but that may be because I'm clumsy and can never get the one lever to where I want it and spend half the time making it go back and forth.

Also, American Standard Williamsburg, that's the one Tom Jefferson would have liked. Just saying.

I liked Williamsburg for that old fashioned feel as well! And bonus for the probable hawty Jefferson connection. I seriously need a hawty Jefferson icon, but I digress...

Unfortunately the Williamsburg didn't look as nice in the store (just not as elegant as the picture makes it seem) so it didn't work out between me and Tommy J.

I did as well, but unfortunately it just didn't look as nice in the store. This is why in person shopping is very important! lol But there was a winner... which will be posted shortly. :P
