Keep in mind that 30% humidity here... has a tendency to feel like 90-100% humidity elsewhere in the country. Seriously, it's kinda sad and all sorts of pathetic that in this sort of climate, that level of humidity is enough to qualify for rain.
*sigh* I've finally acclimated. Two years ago, I'd have said that this felt great.
See, that's kind of what I'm talking about. It's usually SO dry here that we can feel the slightest spike in humidity. Anything more than 5-10% humidity feels sticky and miserable in the 100+ degree heat. So when I said I don't know how people live like that - in high-humidity regions where it gets any warmer than 76 degrees - I meant it. I really feel for you, and I know I totally couldn't do it; I would either die, or never leave my house.
it's been in the 90's, too. it's just like walking outside into a big wall of heat. it's like, I step out of my house and immediately begin to sweat. >.< not pleasant.
to be fair, it's not usually 93%. I honestly thought it was a typo on the site, but I checked another MO zip code and it was 91%. insane!
anything above 0 is still gross, though. especially when you're outside for long periods of time, yuck. poor you. *pets*
Yeah, it's like, it's bad enough if it's hot, but when it's humid too, it's just...ugh. The only things that should be hot and wet are soup, coffee, tea, showers, and -- well, not the weather.
