History: Umeka was born to a man and a women, just like normal. But when she was six months old, her mother and father both came out to being gay. They decided to stay friends; but it would be better to split up for the sake of their children. Her father took Umeka's older brother (four years older infact) and Umeka's mother got her. When Umeka was three years old her mother got a girlfiend; even though they weren't allowed to get married, they stayed together. So then, Umeka always thought of her mother's girlfriend as a second mother. They taught her to like people for what they are, and not to judge them of their sexuality. At seven, Umeka's father got a boyfriend and now she thinks of him as a second father (when she goes to their house). When Umeka was thirteen, her brother who was seventeen at the time, ran away from home. He said it was because he was ashamed that his dad was gay. Umeka couldn't believe it, she continues to hate her brother.
When Umeka was fifteen, she came out as bisexual, her mothers and fathers were so proud of her, they had told her that they didn't care if she was staight, bisexual or gay. Umeka had always thought that she'd either turn out gay or bisexual, since she was living under the roof of two lesbian women, and sometimes under the roof of two gay men.
Appearance: Umeka isn't exactly tall, she comes up at 5'3. She has long ginger hair, which almost reaches her backside. Even though she is sort of a nerd; she doesn't look like one. No acne, no bad skin and no runny nose. The only thing that gives her nerdy qualities are her glasses and even then, she only has to wear them when on the computer, reading or watching tv. She does like to keep them on full time at school though. Umeka is also pretty slim, but she isn't anerexic slim, just normal slim. Umeka also loves to wear pink most of the time and is normal seen wearing pink clothes outside of school.
Personality: Umeka has a happy personality. She acts happy all the time, and has the never-give-up attitude. She loves every single person; doesn't hate a soul. Even if they call her a nerd or something, she'll just ignore it. She knows not to judge people because of their sexuality, or their way of life. She is hyper when she gets giddy; even though she doesn't show it in school. She loves to have fun - but she thinks that it should be kept to a minimal in school - even though she loves school and has fun there anyway, she just thinks it's silly to screw up your life to piss about in school - she doesn't see the point in it.

Strengths:
General Knowledge: She has a wide knowledge of the world, Umeka loves to read a book to learn new facts about life.
Friendly: Being friends with just about everyone in the class, she doesn't have any personal vendettas, which could play to her advantage.
Weaknesses:
Can't Keep Calm: Umeka might be calm and collective in class and around people - but in dangerous situations she tends to freak out.
PE No No: Umeka is not exactly a sporty type, she plain sucks at it.
Emetophobia: Umeka suffers from emetophobia (fear of yourself or others vomiting). She can't stand the stuff-- and in Battle Royale, there's bound to be a lot of it.
Family:
Ishi Kaza - Mother (real) - Umeka lives with her, along with her girlfriend (Tora Baba). She isn't scared to express herself and she'll act "gay" anywhere she goes. She isn't afraid of the government. She used to work at a local Gay Bar as a barmaid. When it recieved warnings from the government it had to close down. She's now unemployed.
Tora Baba - Mother's girlfriend (treated like a second mother) - Lives with Umeka and Umeka's mother. Her parents' were murded by the government when her brother was put into the Battle Royale Act. Unlike her girlfriend, she's scared of the government and lives every day in fear that they'll come and kill her too.
Masa Kuzo - Father (real) - Umeka has had a tight relationship with her dad; she loves him and doesn't care that he's gay. He works in a local newspaper along with his boyfriend; Umeka doesn't care that he has come out to the public - but she is scared that the Government will execute him, she cares too much and always tells him to not kiss his boyfriend in public as people have been exectued for that sort of stuff. He is skinny, sort of like Umeka - but he also has a musculine look about him.
Kafu Imagawa - Father's boyfriend (treated like a second father) - Even though he isn't Umeka's real father - she treats him like one. She loves him just as much as her own father. He met her father a few weeks after he, himself came out as being homosexual. He works at the local newspaper along with his boyfriend, Umeka's father. He was disowned by his mother and father when he was sixteen and thrown out of the house - they thought the government might do something to their family if they get a homosexual in their house. He hasn't spoken to them since.

Masa Kaza - Brother - Umeka never really had a tite relationship with her brother; when she was at her dad's house, he wasn't there a lot of the time, she never really talked about him. He ran away from home when she was thirteen; she hasn't seen him since - she hates him for what he did.

Cho, Koto and Suki - Siamese kittens - Umeka loves these kittens; she hasn't had them for very long, since they are still kittens, but she loves them all the same. They live with Umeka and her mothers, so she doesn't get to see them when she goes to her fathers' house. They sleep in her room.
Extracurricular Activities:
Classroom Clique: Nerd.
Classroom Behavior: Umeka is never bad; she doesn't like a cause trouble. She just does her work, even if someone has caused a stir she wont laugh with the rest of the class; she'll just keep on working. Even though Umeka is smart, she doesn't like to answer questions a lot; she is quiet in all her classes.

Student Relationships:
Kaori Matano: Umeka loves chatting with Kaori, and thinks she is really nice. At break (or even in class sometimes) they will chat. Kaori will give Umeka fashion tips and Umeka will talk about the new book she's been reading. They aren't the best of friends though, because even though Kaori likes Umeka, if she's with some of the people who dont really like nerds (or Umeka) she'll keep her distance - Umeka thinks it's because Kaori wants to keep her status intact. Even though Umeka knows this; she doesn't care. Umeka also tries to cheer Kaori up when she looks upset.
Sayo Hironari: Umeka and Sayo get along really well. Umeka enjoys Sayo telling funny jokes and making her laugh. Umeka also helps Sayo with her homework when Sayo is having trouble, having a short attention span, it's hard for Sayo. They sometimes like to hang around at the weekends, going shopping for new things at the mall. Umeka knows that Sayo doesn't care that Umeka is bisexual; and has never heard Sayo tell a homophobic joke in her life. Umeka really enjoys Sayo's company when she's feeling down, she thinks Sayo is someone who really makes the world go round.
Toshio Kurosawa: Umeka loves this guy, she thinks he's a funny, friendly guy. Although sometimes, he just annoys her to the max. If he starts clowning around in class, Umeka will sigh and shake her head. She doesn't like him when he does that; she doesn't see the point in distrupting a class, it just destroys your chances of learning and getting a good job. When Toshio sees her being annoyed by his stunts he'll tease her, not harmful teasing, just playful teasing. She doesn't really mind it much. He normally stops clowning around in class after he sees Umeka annoyed.
Keziou Tomochika: Umeka knows that he likes to hurt people, girls especially... but, she still thinks he is a good person. She'll try to talk to him in a friendly manner whenever she can, even if he starts being cruel to her, spewing out words of hatred... she'll just shrug it off because she knows that he doesn't really mean to be like that, it was just the way he had been brought up and he couldn't help it.
Kyoko Segawa: Umeka would still like Kyoko and try and talk to her, she'd want to make her feel that she didn't have to hide herself from everyone. But if Kyoko told her to go away, she'd just back off and wouldn't delibratly piss her off.
SAI: And Umeka would never be like 'Oh, leave me alone' because she knows how hard it is for Sai when she has something wrong with her. She just puts up with her no matter how strange she acts. And she comes up to SAI if she thought she looked lonely or if she was sat by herself at lunch. It doesn't bother her that SAI is sometimes constantly staring into her eyes - she just thinks it as a hobby of hers, strange as it may be.
Minami Satsuya: They tend to hang out sometimes. Not much - but sometimes.
