My girlfriend actually just recently made a post very similar to this (though it was about Tenipuri in general), and I have to nod my head in agreement to everything you've said. I'll have to wait until I make my own post to really coherently express my thoughts, but it truly is amazing to see how much Tenimyu has grown... especially since the original plan had been to just have the first musical.

I don't know what I'm going to do with myself, either, once it's over. Everything about Tenipuri is slowly coming to a close, and... I'm lost. I've been in the fandom for nearly five years, now... that's quite a chunk of my life right there.

:/ Tenimyu is all grown up.

Though, I will say that the DVDs have actually always been 9200 yen for the first pressings. I own the SideMine DVD, and did have to shell out all that money - but, unlike now, it came with a large box, a copy of the script, a small book of bromides and then the DVD itself. I believe when you buy the DVDs on their own (either when the first pressings have sold out, or ( ... )

That might do it then, with the costs. I stand corrected. But, yeah, we get less. I got... stickers? I know I get a bonus DVD with the 5B performance, which makes the preorder more than worth it.

I just worry about... well, yes, all grown up, but there are still schools left. I keep thinking, just what is Ueshima going to do next? If they do a DL6, which Hyoutei do they bring back? Will they get a RikkaiB cast in a year's time?

I think too much about stuff like that. XD

Yeah, I heard that they really became cheap with the first pressings. XD; Hell, the SideMine DVD has a second DVD, too, with all the backstage footage, too. They made the boxes smaller, as well. Mine is about the size of... hrm - a legal sized piece of paper, whereas the new ones are just a bit bigger than a standard DVD. I wonder why they did that. D: I think DL2 was the first musical to have those new boxes.

Yeah... who knows. D: I doubt they'll get a new Rikkai cast just because wasn't one of the main reasons for the switch of Hyoutei members because they had all moved on to other things? The Rikkai boys have been in most of the musicals thus far since Rikkaimyu started... so I wouldn't see why not.

Though, I think it would be so neat if the final musical had all of the previous rival schools together - like a reunion of sorts. Fudoumine, 'Buki, Hyoutei, Rikkai, Higa, St. Rudolph, future!Shiten...

I like the fact the box is normal sized, it means it fits in my collection. I'm pretty sure the only reason is because anything bigger won't fit in any DVD storage shelving.

Well, they have almost all the cast back though. The reason probably is more like, they don't want another Kenken. Four months of travelling around and doing 2 shows a day, along with all the other work these guys do during the week, would exhaust the boys. Ueshima probably has wanted to go and do a tour like this for a while, but with these guys schedules, it just wouldn't work with one cast. By the time they get back to Rikkai, it will have been about the same amount of time between shows as Hyoutei had. So... guess we'll have to wait and see.

I want an AllGenerationSeigaku Dream Live. Like, get as many of them back as possible and just have piles of Fuji's and piles of Eijis and Tezukas and stuff. It'd be amazing.

I can understand the whole money thing, because that's just logical. But it's both a relief and heartbreaking to know that the whole atmosphere has changed so much that even it's noticed by everyone. Like, it sucks standing there, hoping that some of them might do demachi, and watching them get shuffled away by staff. Some of them look really confused by the whole thing. But it's even worse to think that those guys might actually want to too.
