-_- I know. But like I said, it doesn't matter who wins this game, I'm thinking of second position. I just wanted Brazil to lose so Australia could get 1st, Japan 2nd in the group. If Japan beats Brazil and Croatia beats Australia on Thursday, it'll make a draw between Croatia and Japan, and they'll need a tie breaker.
Hmm. I'm not much of an Oilers fan, even though I'm Canadian. (Or a Flames fan either.) Must be the fact that I'm a Canucks fan. XP My brother even bet on Carolina with his friends. So. Please don't shoot me.
Whoa, Wimbledon's coming up? SWEET. I haven't watched tennis in so long. Now I want to play too. XP
XD I'll cheer for any Canadian team... cept the Sentators. BOO HISS SENS. But I just want to get that cup back home.
OMG YES GRASS COURT TENNIS FOR TWO GLORIOUS WEEKS. The French Open was a few weeks ago, but I don't like clay court, the orange is ugly and it's dirty.
Re: Japan and football. 1. I will never cease to be amused that one of the Japanese players is called Yanagisawa Atsushi. Sad but true.
2. You saying Japan beat Brazil made me snort tea through my nose.
3. The Japanese squad are violent bastards on the pitch. I've never seen so many examples of guys holding on to an opponant's arm whilst tackling as I did today during the Japan/Croatia match.
4. Don't get me wrong. I want Japan to beat Brazil, if only because everyone loves an underdog, and the footballing world needs to stop kissing Brazil's ass. If I had my druthers Trinidad and Tobego would win the whole comp (but we - well, England - somehow managed to fluke our way to victory against T&T, so it won't happen) and we'd have to squeeze the World Cup onto their tiny 1.1mil populated island in four years time. That'd be awesome.
I love Atsushi. His name is all things fangirly. ♥ And hey, it could happen. Brazil are good, yes, but they're not as good as they used to be.... I can dream. :P I'd love for any of the smaller countries to win. I was SO happy when Ghana won the other day. Their smiles were so genuine when they got a goal, you couldn't help but cheer for them. XD
