I've been looking forward to this since I heard rumors of it happening. And now I wanna see Mr. Fillion play the part. :-P
The other character I've always wanted to play is a Green Lantern...the problem I've had is a lack of viable game systems. It ...could... work in Mage...but, well, Paradox much? ;-P
Or did I just see edited clips from like every sci-fi movie/show in the past 10 years edited into one awesome looking fake movie trailer. Planet of the apes.(pod crashing at start of clip.) like seven parts from the matrix and more from startrek shows and movies?

Forces would work ok with it. The only Legacy with 'telekinetic strike' is Perfected Adept (that I remember).
Much easier would be an Abjuration/Conjuration Mage (I think) in DnD (probably 3.0, there's even a force-spell Prestige Class).
