[cam] Character thoughts

I really shouldn't be doing this, but I love one of the new bloodlines too much.  It could be fun.  I'd be giving up a ghost-ey PC for a ghost/spirit PC in Requiem and essentially playing my werewolf but better.  And I know almost nothing about Voodoo...so lots of research.  I would be...a big stretch in RP.  Deffinitely out of the safety net ( Read more... )

Accent, personality, dress, makeup: it'll all be outside of the norm for me. I won't drop Alexi (if I decide to) till the sanction the book, but its a large temptation. To get into the crux of a new PC with stretches to my RP skills (not necessarily my acting skills, although I always found accents hard, in RP and on stage).

Its certainly getting me thinking. I think the hardest part is that mechanically and thematically (not in terms of the personality of the PC itself), its very similar to my werewolf, which gives me some pause. Not a huge one, as the local venue is dying which means I'll be doing Forsaken mostly online and at cons, but still.

First, I think Paula would kill you for ditching the Ordo.

Second, I think you are already (or at least I hope you are, if this guy is just Gwy 2.0 I'll hit you) bringing in a character that's outside of your normal RP style. Having two characters in the same venue that you don't typically play may end up making you less interested in the game.

Third, and I say this every time you see something shiny, don't even think about doing anything until two months have passed. Chances are you'll think of a new concept that you want to drop Alexi for. If in August you still can't get this bloodline out of your head, then start really thinking about it. Until then, focus on developing and playing your current new PC. I'm expecting awesome RP to make up for the fact I can only play sporadically, after all.

Marcus is NOT Gwy 2.0. I'm a little tired of a flippant vampire, and I want to play a 'real' Elder for a change. My new mage is the flippant (albeit cowardly) ass.

You make solidly good points. My voice of reason :-P

I would give anything at least 2 months after the reset to see how everything plays out.

For all you know Alexi might get gacked June 9th.

(Which quite frankly I might need to try to get a tie with Alexi with Devon, I'm using Torpor as his reason for the reset).

Mmm...

I'm no longer convinced the bloodline will be sanctioned. There's a lot of "OMG, if this isn't the best bloodline ever" followed by a more detailed reading of the mechanics and then a "OMG, if this isn't one of the most powerful bloodlines ever published..."
