It is not hard to spot Dark Link in a crowd of his own people. Just look for empty spaces, and pockets of silence. Vic smiles in recognition as soon as she sees him, and heads right in his direction. She has a bit of a limp, barely noticeable, left leg. She wears those same worn out, sewn to be fixed, too bright too loose clothes, and if he notices, she has a big ugly scar across the side of her neck, drifting down her collarbone and another one across the palm of her right hand. The girl's been in battles. She's maybe a bit thin, maybe a bit tired-looking, but thrilled beyond thrilled to see him. Giddy.
He looks up from his coffee and smiles one of his rare genuine, "I'm smiling because I like you, not because I'm about to kill you," smiles. Setting his coffee down, he motions to the other chair at the small table.
"Nice to see you didn't get lost on the way here," he says. "I was afraid the capital might be a bit confusing if you'd never seen it."
