Don't waste your time with Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. I watched the whole thing and it's not going to be good, ever, unless they kill off half the cast and overhaul the entire concept.

Instead, the following, in order of how much they rock:
Breaking Bad (best thing on TV, ever)
Treme
Orange Is the New Black
The Wire
Teen Wolf (when you need to relax from the sheer mindblowing intensity of the above).

Also I really think you'd like Utopia, which I just finished watching. It's about comics and conspiracy theories and the apocalypse.

I haven't ever even heard of Utopia. Sounds like an interesting combo so far!

If we get to Breaking Bad sooner rather than later, scruloose will be very happy! I do want to see it, but he was much keener on the pilot episode than I was.

When I lived in Florida, I had to keep my bedroom door closed or else the cats would come in at all hours of the night and drive me nuts. Now, i can't keep them out even if I wanted to since my door won't stay shut for some reason, and they just bust right on in anyway. But, they're calmer now and the eleven year old mostly sleep at (or on) my feet the majority of the night.

I think both kittens mostly slept right through between when I went to bed and scruloose got up last night. It seems like a hopeful sign.

Mari has always slept with me. It takes her awhile to settle down - she's real fidgety - but when she does, she goes to sleep on my shoulder. Kenshin generally sleeps on the couch, but comes into the bedroom about 4 AM, and usually lands on my midriff (Mari is much more dainty and light-footed), all 12 to 15 pounds of him, and then proceeds to stare into my face, presumably to see if I'm still alive. ;)

I think it's adorable that Jinksy is grooming scruloose. OMG.

I think you'll like Sleepy Hollow. The plot tends to induce eye-rolling a lot, but the performances, especially those of Tom Mison and Nicole Beharie, are so good that I can't stop watching. I know how character-driven you are, so I think you'd like it. :)

Last night wildpear was visiting, and Jinksy hopped up on the back of the sofa behind her and proceeded to fall asleep on her neck. SO CUTE.

then proceeds to stare into my face, presumably to see if I'm still alive. ;)

Well, it's good of him to check, at least. ^_-
