The girl finished reading Newsflesh today (she read Blackout in a day and a half, while parenting and carrying out her daily responsibilities, so I'm totally in awe of her ability to juggle things), and tonight I slipped over to their place after Pumpkin was asleep and we geeked about it for a few hours. I often forget that in some respects we come ( Read more... )

I finished Deadline last night, so you should be getting an email soon, depending on what I have to do today. :) Yay for fangirling with friends!

A new haircut sounds exciting, as does new color! I'm getting sick of my style as well as the color, but maybe I just need some sun to brighten it up. Last year, I was told my hair looked like "spun silver", which was very nice. :) The other day, my husband said my hair had sort of a violet cast, which indicates I've been using the purple shampoo (to keep it from yellowing) too much. I always loved my natural hair color, which was sort of a light golden brown, but it's too late for that now - I couldn't keep it up, since it's almost totally gray. /hair babble

YAY YAY YAY!

I don't know what I'll do when my hair starts to silver substantially (I've got some strands here and there--one interesting side effect of buzzing my hair was figuring out exactly how much--but nothing significant yet). It may depend on if I've inherited my mom's hair in that respect--I may have told you this before, but when she started silvering people would come up to her and ask where she got her hair frosted. Good sign!

...or maybe when my hair goes all gray I should finally do a purple dye then, since it'd no longer require bleaching first...
