*laughs* Trouble with wanting Rin iconage is that she almost never looks anything but angry or moody or otherwise distressed. I think she's smiled . . . once, is it? Ever? (I'm picturing chapter 79, when Haru's amusing her with his 'logic'. *pauses for a moment of admiration of Rin's adorableness when she smiles* It's kind of heartbreaking, ( Read more... )

come to think about it...smiling!rin is rare!!!
I remember she smiled in one of the haru/rin flashback. It was in the chapter where Akito confronts her about her relationship with haru (i think) ^^;

Did she? *tries to remember* *brain failure due to sleepiness* All I remember about that is that Tohru squeed about her hair being in ponytails and she immediately started to take them down. ^^

Escaflowne is a wonderful anime except for the last episode which simply left me tearing my hair out. I understand that most Japanese stories are BUILT on some sort of irresolution, but...

The manga I've refused to even touch.

I remember being very, very confused about the ending of Escaflowne, but at the time I chalked it up to having watched it at two eps. a month for over a year. I was too naive about anime then to realize that confusion at the end was kinda normal. ^^

*applauds* A wise choice! Evil, evil manga of doom.

Well, given the kind of life she's had, it probably is rare for her to smile.

There's a shonen and a shojo version of one title? That's different.

It's the only title I can think of with two versions. The shoujo is only two volumes, I think, and I don't believe it's been licensed (the shonen is certainly the only one I've seen around).
