(Which is extra nice 'cause it's gross outside, and the only reason I talked myself into going back out to see what was new is that I reminded myself that it was . . . not *impossible* that the new volume would be there.) I got Furuba 6 as well. Which is getting into the anime episodes I haven't seen yet. (I still need to get DVD 3 and 4...). It's quite good, as usual.

When's Rin first appear?

She's first mentioned in vol. 7, and appears briefly at the end of vol. 8, and then actually starts being active in vol. 9.

Did you post a small portion of this in a locked post a while back? There was a bit there that felt familiar, but that could just be because it follows your voice. You have a specific way of writing the characters, and you've mentioned your own fascination with touch with furuba characters.

That being said, I read the chapter before reading your notes here and I liked it. No, it's not completely in character (i.e. so much talk out of those two), but it's good... rather what one would wish they'd say.

I'll also let you know that last week I ignored my fiance for a short while in order to read your fic as soon as I was able to get online. That's how involved I am in the story. Keep up the excellent work. ^__^

*laughs* That was the girl's biggest complaint when we were doing final edits, esp. in the scene when they're having tea. She was kind of like, "that's all well and good, but it's not RIN. Rin just doesn't. Talk. So. Much." And it was so true (yep, this is the less talky version. How scary is that?). *grr* But Yuki would no way of *ever* picking anything up from her that she didn't say, since they don't understand each other at all, so . . . yeah. -_-

See, if you read this ahead of time on purpose, there's no sympathy. ^^ (I keep forgetting not everyone is as anti-spoiler as I am--although if they were, I guess my character pages wouldn't be very useful. *laughs*) So (if you've read it by now), what did you think after the fact?

OK, just read and I thought the whole thing was very nicely done. Kinda sweet, actually. Of course, I had to laugh when Yuki thinks to himself, "What harm can a little conversation do?" (or something to that effect)

I tried not to giggle as I read further. Of course, I have a tendancy to do that when it comes to sex scenes in general. It's probably due to the fact I'm still a virgin (but I'm not complaining). I liked how Rin came across in this chapter. She kinda let her guard down a little. It was very nice and tender.

I look foreward to reading the next chapter.

On the possible TMI front, I was still a virgin when I wrote the chapter, which probably explains a fair bit of the awkwardness I felt writing it. ^^ I guess the question is whether that was evident to anyone reading. *laughs* (Sex scenes by virgins are kind of legendary, I gather--although my change in "status" hasn't particularly affected my approach to them.)
