online reading

I can't remember the last time I spent so much time reading fanfiction. Having Fruits Basket as my primary fandom has kind of left me in the position of throwing my hands up and ignoring the fanfic aspect until a story is brought to my attention (or someone I know writes something, and thank heaven for a literate, creative circle of friends in the ( Read more... )

Wowza. What a review about fandom in general.
And I'll be sure to read up on that Buffy fanfic.

She writes Buffy/Spike pretty much exclusively, but the novels include the entire cast (in some very unexpected ways, since it's all post-season 5 AU), and she's got an incredible handle on them. Lovely stuff.

Parakiss 3 is the only one i wasn't able to get a hold of,
so i guess i am now glad ? i was sure that i'd miss something,
but the anime moves so slowly compared to the manga (watch it without sound- it is a proven fact!).

also, there is furuba_reviews which is good for weeding out some of the good fanfiction from the bad, but it hasn't updated in a while. (maybe i should update, since i've been reading some stuff recently...)

*nods* Yeah, I have furuba_reviews on my reading list, but it's definitely been a while since it was very active. :/

I originally thought 12 eps. for a 5-vol manga seemed reasonable, but the pacing for the ParaKiss anime feels different enough that I'm not sure how well it'll work. *sighs*
