Hairdo & Snippets of J-Dramas

Mar 19, 2009 21:13

A few days ago, when I watched the the Voice outtakes & Toma on a variety show, I was just contemplating on whether the hairstyle he had was going to be for the new drama. Darker in colour and longer at the back, and well, different enough from the 'Voice' one to be a possibility. I liked it.

Ah, well then, this morning, the brief (like 4 secs!) ( Read more... )

rambles, voice, toma ikuta

Ahh Furuba! I got so wrapped up in that manga it was ridiculous XD In fact to this day I still count it as my favorite <3 But I read that before I saw Sousuke so maybe it's--better that way LOL

Ha...well, I can't get over seeing that part without hearing Prisoner Of Love, and flashing of the awesome opening. LOL. Well, technically still, only that image, so it's Ryo without the Sousuke bit is okay. Ah...Ryo can cameo as Tohru's dad in my Furuba real life cast imaginings...XD

I find a hair perm looks rather good if it were to be a slightly, slightly "waved" one and, on long hair on a guy. I kinda like those spotted by Takeshi in GB and TLTR. They looked good on him.

Is that a picture of Ryo Nishikido? I am not sure. Have
only seen him once in One Litre Of Tears with Erica
Sawajiri, that is, if that was him in it. Like him.
Has that cool sexiness in him. Hahaha!

I still don't know whether I can call Toma's latest one a perm...I used to refer perms as more curly curly...so I don't know. The Takeshi perm I'm on about was definitely a perm. It was frizzly curly. And so happens it was a photoshoot for a Japanese mag (if my memory serves me right). I didn't save it, so I can't even post it up. So comparing, I wouldn't have called TK'S hair in GB or TLTL a perm. Love his hair in GB!!

Yup, that is Ryo Nishikido. I haven't seen 1 Litre of Tears. Actually, I don't think I ever fully watched any dramas of his yet. So busy with Toma dramas...not that I am complaining at all... =)

When you have the chance and the time
you should try watch One Litre of Tears.
Ryo N. was sooo cool in it and Erica
so pretty.

Be warned though, it is a sad drama, but
good story.

I read the synopsis, and it sounds sad. I have been recommended few series from a ppl, but yeah...backlog of stuff...so eventually will get to them and I was trying to watch the Korean 'Ma Wang' too...

Ma Wang? Sounds familiar, but cannot
place any clue on it. An old piece?
Good?

I am currently watching Korean tv drama
series, Emperor Of The Sea. Came out about
2005. Classical piece, part fiction part
historical. Good story but as usual ending
rather sad. One unusual point here I find
attractive is the assassin here seems to
be only one who understands what love is.
Ironical, isn't it?

Ah....'Ma Wang' is 'the Devil' ( http://wiki.d-addicts.com/The_Devil) is the Korean version of 'Maou' in which Toma is in (you knew there was a reason... ;p). The Korean version came out first, and then the J-version remake came out last year. But 'Maou' was only 11 episodes while 'Ma Wang' was 20. So, I wanted to watch it to compare and so. But only managed episode 4, before I got swamped... so have to try to catch up. 'Maou' was awesome, so 'Ma Wang' should be good....so far so good.

I haven't heard of the Emperor of The Sea one before. At first, I thought whether it was that fantasy series with the that actor, Bae Yong Joon , but it wasn't. I haven't stretched over to watching K-dramas yet, only started on J-dramas last year. Maybe b/c haven't got the idol to prompt me yet. Hah hah.

Thanks for info on Ma Wang. I don't
think I will be on look out for this
one... I cannot stomach horror stories.
Got no guts. Coward.

You might be able to get Emperor Of The
Sea dvd at your end, rental or buy I think.
It was very popular when it came out. Mid-
east, Turkey, Philippines, etc went crazy
for it when it came out. Now only being
screened in my country.

One of the main actors is king of saguek
(classical)dramas, Song Il Gook. He was
over in Hawaii a few days ago meeting fans.
You may not know him 'cos he is a very
private and quiet guy, cute, good looking
and six footer. Very shy and low profile
kind of guy.

'Ma Wang' is no horror even with it's Devil title. Well, no ghost sort. It's more a revenge theme, crime and suspense. Opps, I haven't even finished that series yet...but yeah, the story is the same from the remake.

Still, at the time being, I am totally a newbie when it comes to K-entertainment's actors/actresses ...well except the really famous ones, then I kinda know their names, and what they been in.
