God, I've always had an irrational fear of that happening to me while I'm driving. Turns out maybe it's not so irrational after all.... Glad to hear it all turned out ok.

It didn't hit me until afterwards what had happened; I couldn't even stop because it was the middle of a busy road. The guy was fine, I saw him get up and the car behind me stopped to see if he was okay. It wasn't til I got home that I became a "wow, I nearly killed somebody" nervous wreck, though probably not as badly as the guy on/off the bike.
And thanks! I get the final honours result tomorrow. My supervisor has been sending me encouraging messages all day, suggesting that I will be very impressed with my grades, but I'm not celebrating until I see H1 on the screen... :)
Oh, dollink, that must have been scary. Good that no-one's hurt, though. I loathe driving in the rain; I did something similar years ago and both myself and the near-afflicted managed to summon up full-blown panic attacks right there on the road.
Make ye an obscene amount of tea (doped accordingly with benzos) and go read the Dairi Burger. It's known to have emphatically therapeutical properties.
Nobody is hurt, only somewhat frazzled nerves and a hearty respect for the large (albeit small in a relative-to-the-rest-of-the-car-population way) metal weapon I daily play with. Suffice to say I avoided driving for the rest of the day, and ensured legally I can't due to consuming a fair quantity of wine.
Took my mind of the release of my honours mark tomorrow, though.
