But...doesn't that count as pornography?

How ironic that you would post this now.

I think I see the irony but only when I look at the big picture.

My statement actually has something to do with my personal life (and a whole explosion of crap that happened just this afternoon), and I should not have said it to begin with. I am in a very sour mood. Sorry.

That's okay. I'm in a bit of a sour mood at the moment. And by "at the moment", I'm referring to the past 36 years of my life.

I live in the San Fernando Valley, porn production capital of the freakin' world. I've even had neighbors who did exactly what you were joking about. They ran some kind of S&M site out of the apartment right next door to me, and it got real old, real quick. They were quite vocal...all night long it was *smack*, moan, *smack*, moan, etc.

Now I don't have a problem with consenting adults doing whatever they want as long as no one gets hurt, or consuming whatever media they want for that matter, but I live in a building with a lot of families, most with kids. It just always seemed obsenely innappropriate for the neighbor kids to be exposed to that, even if it was just the noise. Not to mention the fact that they kept waking me up at night.

I've had noisy neighbors like that. Don't know if they were filming their loud, sloppy lust though.

I hate apartment living.

One thing is for sure: Trying to outlaw porn is an exercise in futility. Such measures would never work thanks to the internet.

no shock here, but a few of my dad's friends are directors....including the guy who told me about things back in June

As a woman, did it creep you out knowing that this guy was a porn director and might be sizing you up for the business somewhere in the back of his mind?

And what sort of things did he tell you? I heard they like to give drugs to some of the porno actresses to get them to do things they wouldn't ordinarily do.

Yes it did cross my mind and bother me but I still felt safe wince there were other guys there who I had known since I was little girl and I felt safe around. I was more worried when I found my dad's Barely Legal mag, knowing that those girls were about my friends and mine age or younger. Some of my friends are nothing short of gorgeous, I was the most worried for them.

This one guy is actually the cousin of one of the Good Charlotte band peoples....he offered me backstage passes in trade that I drive his drunk ass, after informing me of his sticky finger problem. I passed.

The other Porno director was the man who told me about my dad's problem back in June since my dad refused to pay him shut up money. He is a pot grower by trade, used to be a Radio DJ and cookbook salesman. I have also known him since I was little, gruff little old man.

The drugs part - both of these two were in on my dad's problems and have done jail time. Wouldnt surprise me.
