I'm not really surprised, though. I remember being in high school or middle school and having a teacher ask if KKK rallies should be legal, and a lot of kids argued against them. They were essentially arguing against freedom of speech. When you're that age, a lot of the time it's "my beliefs or nothing" sort of thing.
Also, Americans are stupid.
