Nailbat wasn't paying attention to his surrounding other than to keep an eye out for anyone with fire. His cloths were scorched and ruffles where they weren't burned away completely. A few burns and scorches showing on his skin.
He looked like he was going to cry the non tear streaked soot from his cloths wiped across his face proof that he hadn't yet.
He was limping and mostly staring at the ground just looking for a quite place to curl up and hide while he healed.
She stepped back, trying to get a better view of the cathedral in the distance, unmindful of where she was going or who she was hitting. She craned her head, tiptoeing back until she tripped over someone else's shoes, rolling back in an ungraceful heap.
He yelped and went down in a pile with her, hissing as as he landed on still raw burns. Being squishy sucked ass, no matter what Honey said. He hurt. He shouldn't hurt.
She remained stationary, staring up at the sky as people tittered around her, drawing a crowd and some disapproving looks. She peeked down, wondering what kept her from standing.
Lionhearted paused when the next door opened, not to a dull white room, but to a crowded shop that looked like it sold the water that his owner drank to heal himself.
He paused. There were people in here. Noises, voices, people and no more white? This was new.
Looking back at the door he came through, he found it open, leading out into a street that he didn't recognize at the outside of the castle at all. Well, at least he was right in thinking that the castle led out of that place, even if this street didn't look like it'd lead him home. Or to Squall.
Frowning slightly at his predicament, he started down the street, stopping only when he caught sight of a rather familiar set of pigtails and perky gait.
Her head snapped up, glancing to and fro. Hmm. Strange. She crossed her arms and tilted her head, wondering if she heard her name or not. Maybe it was the wind. Or maybe she was just hearing things.
Nodding to herself, agreeing with that idea, she turned a full 360, juuuust to make sure.
Stopping where he stood, he watched her make that turn, waiting for her to notice him as he stayed where he was. Blinking when she missed him entirely, he tried to catch up with her, hoping to get to her before she decided to keep going in the direction she was headed.
Oh, there it was again. She turned once more, noticing someone dressed differently from the rest of the crowd and started at the sight of a familiar face.
"Lionheart!" She called back, pressing through the crowd to get to him. "You're here!"
