"Hey Squall!" He yelled out, energetically waving a hand at the man that seemed to be going through the wreckage.

Or at least failed when it wasn't coming from a particularly familiar voice in the slightest. And this... kid was far from familiar. Even when the gunblader tilted his head in that direction, ready for anything, pinning Zell with a critical yet oddly blank stare. A tattoo, strong stance, the distinct air of someone who was going to be annoyingly energetic...
Great... Just what he needed...
Giving one careful, slow blink, to gather himself, Leon let himself continue to scowl, brows furrowing and the scar there wrinkling slightly. "Excuse me?" the man asked simply.

"I said 'hey.' What's up, man? Looking for something?" He asked curiously. The clothes and older age was a dead giveaway as to who this Squall was, and Zell knew it. He was familiar enough with a version of Leon after all, and now that he could see who it was more clearly, it gave him even more reason to use the nickname that Laguna had personally chosen for the Squall that had abandoned his name.

Not 'who are you?'.
Already, he'd come across too many people that knew things they shouldn't-- knew him when they shouldn't have. Or, in some cases, the same face, but hardly a civil sense of attitude. It was enough of a thought to have Leon resisting pinching the bridge of his nose where a familiar pounding was starting to show up.
Whoever this guy was, Leon wasn't going to buy that he wasn't a possible hostile.

This place was full of surprises. First, she found a male version of herself (a possibly more naive version at that). Second, there was an Ultimecia, a reformed, supposedly, Sorceress who she couldn't help but remain suspicious of. Ultimecia? Reformed? Impossible. Unlikely. Never could happen. Never will.
Third, she thought she found the General, the One-Winged Angel, Sephiroth but it wasn't the same one. It was a different one. He was, dare she say it? Nice. Polite. A gentleman. It was still hard to believe she met a Sephiroth who acted like that.
Shaking her head, the SeeD continued down the street, Revolver's weight on her shoulders. The Heartless seemed to want to leave her alone for the moment, deciding that maybe she was too strong for them? Doubtful. They probably were attacking some other poor person. Idiots, all of them, the monsters, this place; everything.
Entering a new area, she glanced around and found a familiar form. That guy... again? From this distance, it looked like male ( ... )

He wouldn't have noticed it beforehand. At all. The city was just in a dead silence. Large and expanding. The kind of space that wasn't as near as quaint as some places he'd been, given the fact that it was so... sprawled, never mind the hole in the middle of it.
It was unnatural, this place, whatever it was. Leon didn't need Aerith's uncanny sense of being in the worlds to know that much.
When Leon finally did, he supposed he shouldn't have been surprised. There was an initial reaction to tense, get ready for anything, a pang still aching in his shoulder despite being relatively healed over by now.
This wasn't that annoying prat, though.
Last he remembered, that golden-eyes moron didn't have the distinctive swell of breasts.
Which, considering the girl's face, was odd in and of itself. I'm getting rather sick of things like this.
Leon merely quirked a brow, keeping his thoughts to himself.

Closer than before, she could see his clothes were different. His hair was, too. Too long for an SeeD to wear, at least unbound anyway. That was what she immediately noticed of him. She cataloged his appearance, noting the older look to him (definitely older than her, maybe by a decade or less, hard to tell in this light), the slightly different shade of eye color (his looked to be more blue).
It was the differences that caught her eye, not the immediate similarities.
Maybe because she had met a another version of herself before, a male version of herself, the brunette wasn't too much concerned about the similarities between them. There were some, she would admit to that but they were unimportant ( ... )

But Leon's posture remained fixed, that same casual, near-lazy way he held himself. Anyone who knew the man would know better. Just simple conservation of energy, nothing more and nothing less. Perhaps a little bit of a loftiness that came with a certain amount of confidence in skill.
He studied her in a simple, single sweep, still rather unsurprised.
These things seemed to have a tendency to want to happen.
No words. Just a tilt of the head, gaze lidded and nearly bored.
Usual tendencies to deter people from bothering with him any more than Leon wanted to bother with them. A look that could have almost, if an expression could ever say something so blatantly, ask And?

He heard steps and he jumped in surprise, he had been fat too distracted to notice there was someone else. If he was lucky for once, maybe he could find Axel...
"Who's there?" Sora asked in a low voice.

How could there have been? After all, the Sora he knew, the Sora Leon was so familiar with, was small and boyish and, quite frankly, a kid who really just had no idea about anything at all. So finding someone else around the vast of an area was kind of surprising.
"No o--" Then Leon had to stop.
That hair.
That was kind of unmistakable, really. What in the world...?
Leon frowned, narrowing his eyes curiously. "...Sora?"

It's been years since he heard it, and if you asked him, he'd say the last time he heard it was from another lifetime. A lifetime of strong hearts, adventures, smiles and a warm bed waiting for him at the end of the day.
He didn't know if he should laugh or scream or just plain panic. This world has already played with him enough.
"I don't know what you're talking about", Sora said quickly. He needed to calm down and disappear as quickly as possible.

The man moved to put a hand on the other's shoulder, ready to move around to face him, get a good look at his face, just to be sure. "You got tall..." It was actually pretty impressive, though Leon himself wasn't the tallest man out there.
He knew people. Forgetting anyone, no matter the change, wasn't any easy thing for him to do.
