When you've grown up traveling most of your life it would seem clear of even natural to awake in places that would seem unfamiliar to you at first. This, though was far from true as Bartz slowly batted his eyes open for a slit moment, the groggy feeling from his sleep still shaking over him. The last thing he remember was settling down for a little nap-- not after finally acquiring of his crystal first-- and now...this. If he was still in the same area as before, he'd rolled a little too far from where he was sleeping. Or maybe he had slept walked somehere?

He knew almost all too well how the grounds of which he slept upon felt. But this, this was almost too hard. Usually he'd wake up with a small backache from rolling over a few stones while he slept but while he was finally coming to, he felt as though he was...cramped? At this, the boy stretched his arm out to the observe the area around him, his eyes still closed ( ... )

…W-what…?

Bright, violet eyes snapped toward the sound-that slight…shuffling?-coming from the top of the slide and she merely stood there, hand still outstretched an’ pressed to the slide’s surface. She blinked slowly, not daring to budge her gaze from the noise-she pushed down the initial panic welling up inside her; there was no reason to fear. It was probably nothing…

…She clung to that thought as the moments ticked by and no new noise emerged from the small opening inside the slide. Yeah; it was fine...

I’m simply hearing thi--!?

Her thoughts were abruptly cut off as a yelp cut through the air and she immediately dropped her hand, taking a few cautionary backward steps from the slide. Her stance was broken, her hands balled into fists and pressed tightly to her chest, and for a moment, she seemed more frightened than a warrior like her should be. She could protect herself, and besides, there was no indication that this…this…thing was even dangerous; there was no reason for her to…be so ( ... )

There was a heaving sigh coming in between the boy's lips and the slide, now slowly slurring out into a loud and unintelligible bits of moans and light mumbles. It took him only a few moments to fully register what had happened before lifted his head away from the dirtied surface of the playground toy. The grogginess that filled his head a few minutes ago had quickly left him and all that was left was a sinking feeling of someone witnessing what had happened to him.

Sure enough...

A sweet and gentle voice entered the brunette's ear drums which caused him to inwardly wince. Wonderful! He dared not let his expression drift to that of which was unpleasant, but instead he turned his head to face the worried glance that was staring down on him ( ... )

Terra blinked, instinctively pitching her weight as she took a small backward step; leaning more heavily on that foot as she pressed her hand to her stomach-palm flat against her covered abdomen and fingers slightly curled. He certainly recovered quickly enough, much faster than she’d anticipated; enough that it almost caught her off guard. Almost.

Either way, she silently drank in his minimal explanation and the way he shifted about, before finally turning her gaze away to the top of the slide; her gaze latching onto that small opening Bartz had tumbled out not more than a few moments before. Of all the questions fluttering through her mind, the most incessant one was, of course, why was Bartz even up there to begin with.

It was a wonder he could even fit in there. Well, Bartz was a bit on the smaller side-slim, athletically built and only a few inches taller than herself-but nonetheless, it wasn’t as though his slightly smaller frame made it much easier when the structure was designed for a child. Hm. She dropped her hand ( ... )

Once Terra had made her way over to the slide, Bartz's eyes couldn't help but following her tiny figure to the object he had just recently come in contact with. He blinked, staring for a few moments as the silence swept the area while she took her observations. Bartz did nothing to interrupt her, instead the boy merely lifted both of his arms and placing them ever so neatly behind the comfort of his head. His right side shifting to which the lean body favored more towards the left; just to get a better look at what exactly the female was doing.

When she finally spoke up, his body shot with attention as he listened to her quick response to his later comment. This...was something he was expecting her to ask. Though the answer wasn't going to come as easily to him.

"Umm..." Bartz began, shifting the dirt around him with the heel of his shoe. "I'm not exactly sure to be honest." This was true enough, he didn't actually plan to randomly wake up in a child's playing area but then again...there had to be some reason he awoke in a place ( ... )
