Net Neutrality

This week's buzz word seems to be "Net Neutrality" which basically means all data moving across the internet should be treated the same, where as media companies now want to open up "toll" high-speed lanes for video and other services which they will charge higher prices for ( Read more... )

I'm not sure what the immediate consequences would be if we introduced some sort of "deluxe class" internet, but intuitively it seems to me net neutrality is a good ideal. Many of the most interesting things to come out of the internet were built on the fact the system itself is fully independent of what's being transported on it. I think it should stay that way.

Life is good ... not enough time to chit-chat on msn anymore unfortunately but other than that its all good.
