Those are fantastic, so creative.

I bought one of those clip on craft lights (like for reading under the bedclothes). When light is a bit dim I clip it to my embroidery frame (or some nearby surface). It can make just enough difference.

Thanks :) Hopefully they'll look effective when they're done.

I got a booklight back in the Autumn for the very same reason, and it's brilliant. But only when I remember to take it with me.

What you need is a frockers companion ;-). Mine folds up neatly and fits in my little blue one you made, so wherever I am my must have craft stuff is organised!

I've got a really useful plastic sewing box that I use to carry everything to the museum, I need to remember to put the book light in there at some point!
