It was a rainy day. The younger looked at his partner, grinning.
“That’s not part of the plan” An identical grin answered to him.
“That’s the thing about plans, man. They’re great right up to the minute you put ’em in action.”
“It’s a suicide, you know that?”
“At least, we’ll be buried with full military honors!”
“You’re a jerk. At three. One, two, THREE!” There are ‘pops’ and a scream and then the sound of someone upstairs, who was obviously angry.
“Don! Charlie!” Margaret walked in the living room. At seeing her husband in Day-Glo colours, she began to laugh.
“It’s not funny Margaret!” She couldn’t say anything but stayed there, laughing. They heard the sound of steps and a door and realized that their children had gone to the garage. Alan grumbled and went to the bathroom and Margaret to the kitchen. She was listening carefully to the sounds around her when she heard two oaths coming from the garage. She smiled. They didn’t really think they could prank the masters of the trade, did they?
